Hi,
I have been using usage metrics for a while on my reports now, and it is very interesting to have access to all this 🙂
However, it looks like some viewers are not appearing in this report, especially the one who use the report within the Teams desktop app.
Do you have any insights on what could be the reason for that ?
Thanks !
Has this issue been fixed since then ?
Hi @ronanbri,
What does "the one who use the report within the Teams desktop app" mean? Can you clarify it?
The data in usage metrics report will take up to 24 hours to update. For more information, see: Usage metrics for dashboards and reports.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
What i mean is that depending on the software they use to access the dashboard, it is or not included in usage metrics
- Access through Power BI mobile App: Counted
- Access through web-browser n(mobile or desktop) : Counted
- Access through Microsoft Teams Desktop app : Not counted (see below)
- this last point means that when i add a Power BI tab to my Teams, user accessing through this tab are not comptabilized.
Hope this is clear enough !

Hi,
We have the same issue. We published the reports in the different Teams for targeting porpouse. We are pusing MTeams as an internal communication tool but we are now losing the usage tracking of our reports.
Is there any plan to integrate Microsoft Teams as another platform/channel to count the views?
Thanks and best regards,
I have the same question -- it doesn't appear that the usage metrics reports track users who view a Power BI report embedded in a MS Teams channel.
