Hi All
i've had an update from MS
2 options, see if your report server has this option
if you don't have reporting services installed, you can connect to reporting services via this method
my server didn't have this feature.
i did get the Jan 2025 version of report server and installed that
it has fixed our issue
Dear, we got the same issue, how do you get the Jan 2025 version of report server since MS has not publish yet?
After all i still cannot find the solution so I roll back to the old version. And the error is gone.
It seem like a bug in the new version
i've raised with MS support
i tried changing my urls to be the FQDN - manually edited rsconfig file
when i try and access the external urls, i get the same error
hopefully MS can fix it- and i will post it here
we have this issue
on prem servers - accessing via entra application proxy
how can we fix
Dear, we have the same issue, do you have the fix?
Good day same issue.
The URL are the same between the WebService and the Web Portal and I also use the application proxy.
@Patebro :: any idea ?
This only affect the PowerBI report, paginated report are not affected.
Hi . I met the same problem. I changed my authentication mode from windowsNTLM to form in the version V2024.01. And when I update the version to V2024.05 , the report server works well. However, when I update the version from V2024.05 to V2024.09, I met the same problem like DuncanYeah said. I am unable to add reports, add folders, configure data sources, or browse reports. But I can add new people or delete any reports and files. It is so strange. If anyone knows the solution, I would be extremely grateful
Hi, @DuncanYeah
This issue may be related to the server configuration, specifically to the settings of the web service and the web portal URL.
You can open the Report Server Configuration Manager. Make sure that both the web service URL and the web portal URL are set to a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) and not just the server name or IP address. Also make sure that the server's firewall and network settings allow access to the report server through the IP address. You can check the following link:

If you're using HTTPS, make sure that the SSL certificate is configured correctly and that the certificate name matches the URL you're using.
