Support for visual elements and python scripts in power bi report server, versions for mac/linux

Good time of day.
2025 year.

There are several tasks that need to be solved in the Power BI Report Server tool.
1) there is a distribution on the X and Y axes of a certain coefficient at points, these points can be more than 50 thousand pieces. Python handles this issue, but we need to show the distribution in the dashboard (filter points by conditions). We tried using a dot chart and a high-density chart, but there is a limit of 10,000 points. What solution, perhaps, can third-party visuals be used?

2) how to work with python scripts and visualizations now, as far as I know, they are currently not supported in the Report Server. Nevertheless, there are a huge number of python developers and the community is getting bigger - maybe there are some plans to add this feature? and how do people who work with python work with data now? In my opinion, the R language can be removed from the tool altogether, because when choosing from a Python/R pair, 90% will choose python.

3) Will there ever be a Linux/Mac OS version? Some colleagues have Macbooks and Linux devices, and in order to work with Desktop, they have to install add-ons. Software, or provide them with another Windows laptop. Why the tool doesn't have cross-platform functionality is still a mystery to us.

I have identified three functions that are critical for us. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi, @ReyCarter_777

Thank you very much for coming to the Fabric forums and asking questions. You've mentioned a lot of valuable comments, and there's really no feature you mentioned in the current Report Server.

If you need this functionality more, you can use Power BI Service instead of Power BI Report Server. All currently available features are available in Power BI Service, including preview features.

You can keep an eye on our product updates as well as the changelogs:

The first two problems may not be solved right away, but the last problem is Power BI on MacOS/linux. I think you just need to install VMware on MacOS/linux and install a Windows virtual machine in it to run Power BI on different platforms.
