Sparklines that work correctly in Power BI Desktop show errors after the report is uploaded/published to the Power BI Report Server.
The version I downloaded was the September 2025 release of PBI, obtained on 2025/12/1(15.0.1119.121).
Please help me to resolve this issue. thanks!

Sparklines work fine in Power BI Desktop, but they stop working once you publish the report to Power BI Report Server because PBIRS doesn’t support sparklines yet. Even if you’re using the latest Desktop version, Report Server is always behind the cloud version, so newer features don’t carry over and end up showing errors after publishing.
Another reason this happens is that you’re using the standard Power BI Desktop instead of the version that’s built specifically for Report Server. PBIRS requires a matching “Power BI Desktop for Report Server” version. When the versions don’t match, unsupported visuals—like sparklines—fail to load.
Even if you install the correct Desktop version for Report Server, sparklines still won’t work because they simply aren’t supported in the current PBIRS release. There’s no full fix available until Microsoft adds sparkline support in a future update.
For now, you can try creating a small line chart to mimic a sparkline or use a Paginated Report if you really need that type of visualization. Otherwise, the best option is to wait until PBIRS officially supports sparklines.

Thank you for your reply. I am using the correct version of PBI Desktop. I will wait until the PBI RS version is upgraded to support this feature in the future before using it again. Thank you!
