Scheduled Refresh stopped working

Scheduled Refresh has stopped working for no apparent reason (I haven't changed anything.)  Every single report on the Server that requires a Scheduled Refresh will now not refresh.  I can refresh the reports in Power BI and upload them to the server - but I then can't get a Refresh to run.  It gives the following error:

1055784933: The given credential data contains an invalid string.;There was an error generating the XML document.
'?', hexadecimal value 0x1F, is an invalid character.. The exception was raised by the IDbConnection interface.

The data source credentials are fine - they haven't changed - test connection still comes back connected succesfully.  In any event, I've tried a different set of credentials, they also seem fine, but I get the same error message.

I've deleted the scheduled refresh and created a new one, but the same error is coming up.

I've checked things we've had before (e.g. we've put more room on the disk - checked the log files haven't got too big) but I can't even begin to understand what the error is trying to tell me to work out how to fix it.

Does anyone have any clues as to where the error could have come from?

FYI - I deleted all my scheduled refreshes and created them again, including taking out a refresh which is taking a very long time to run and running it at a different time to the other refreshes, and that seems to have fixed this issue.

Thank you - when you say:

"go to this dataset's settings page" - what do you mean - this is the only place I know for this and it is all working fine?

The network environment hasn't changed - except for some cyber security things.

Scheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate the scheduled refresh.

Hi @Anonymous ,

This is an error I haven't seen before, I tried to reproduce it on my computer but it didn't work. What data source are you using and has your network environment changed?
