Schedule Refresh not working

I am having an issue with the schedule refresh on a Power BI report with a dsn using a import query.  I have other reports developed on the same desktop that use a different dsn that the schedule refresh works as expected.  Both reports use a personal gateway.  

Other piece is that for the report were the refresh is not working there are not errors and the dataset states is was refreshed but when I look at the report it is not updated.  Bascially just adding yesterdays data.

is the personal gateway on the same desktop or is it on a different machine?  Maybe there is a difference in the data source definition between the two machines, or a different user ?

On the gateway machine, use SQL Developer or similar tool to run a test query against the data source. See if that produces the expected result (maybe use a "Last Modified"  data field for testing).
