Hi,
We have Power BI reports sourcing from SAP Business Warehouse and our on premise Power BI Report Server is Sept 2021 version. The same report with the same data source works fine when it is configured using SAP Business Warehouse Application Server, but does not connect when configured using SAP Business Warehouse Message Server. Here is the error: Access to SAP Business Warehouse requires SAP client tools to be installed, including the latest version of SAP Netweaver RFC. See here for more information: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=824666
Is it because Power BI Report Server does not support SAP Business Warehouse Message Server data source?
Thanks.

Here is the fix:
In the file: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\services
Add this line: <sap ms server name> 3600/tcp
It looks like the connection string bypasses the message server process completely, only allowing connection to a specific application server. My team would like to maintain a successful connection to through the message server so we can take advantage of the back-end benefits. Is there any Power documentation that lists all the connection options and the various parameters possible for an SAP connector?
