Hi,
Could someone tell me what the highlighted option means on the data source credentials properties tab below?
I've noticed that if I select this option after entering the required data source credentials, the reports will not load (i.e., can not connect). If I deselect it, they work fine.
Solved! Go to Solution.
This checkbox enable user impersonation, e.g. for live connected report to SSAS. This means:
Report will connect (authentificate) to source using provided username and password (some technical account). But after authentification will be impersonate (authorized) as real user who using this report.
This is important for live connected Analysis Services databases with RLS (Row Level Security) roles, when you need to know which user is viewing this report.
