Hi,
I am developing a Paginated Report using Power BI Report builder with Power BI Dataset as the source and I want to know if few features are available in Report builder or not. Please help.
1) Is it Possible to have slider in Paginated report? I want to display Sales value column as a Range slider (This is available in Power bi desktop)
2) Can we have hierarchical filters/parameters in the report builder? I created a hierarchy in the Power bi report and published. When connected to this report/model in report builder i was able to see the hierarchy but couldn't add it to the parameter.
3) As far as I know, we should use page breaks to split the pages. Can we have different parameters on different pages in paginated report?
If these are possbile, please do share the links. It would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Hi @Anonymous ,
1. So far, to my knowledge, couldn't have slider in Paginated Report
2. For more information about parameters for Paginated Report, please refer this document: Paginated report parameters - Microsoft Report Builder & Power BI Report Builder | Microsoft Learn, Add, change, or delete a paginated report parameter - Microsoft Report Builder & Power BI Report Builder | Microsoft Learn
3. So far, to my knowledge, couldn't achieve

-- I dont think if there is slider for the paginated report. But you can create 2 text fields and use them as Start & End of any ranges.
2) Can we have hierarchical filters/parameters in the report builder? I created a hierarchy in the Power bi report and published. When connected to this report/model in report builder i was able to see the hierarchy but couldn't add it to the parameter.
- Hierarical filters can only been seen if they are defined at datasource level
Otherwise you can create cascading parameters for your report.
3) As far as I know, we should use page breaks to split the pages. Can we have different parameters on different pages in paginated report?
- For every table & Matrix visual you can apply the properties if you want to view that in single page or multiple pages.

@FarhanAhmed , I am using power bi dataset as the source for this report.
Can we achieve hierarchical parameters with Power BI Dataset as the source?
I created a hiearchy, saved it and published to service. Used that as the source for paginated report. Tried adding the hierarchy in Query designer. Didn't work.
Thank You for the reply!!

- Regarding this, Can we have different number of parameters in different pages?
For eg,
Consider the 1st page is Summary page and I want Category parameter there
And 2nd page is Details page and I want Sub-Category and Product parameters here.
Is this scenario possible to implement in Report builder?

Unfortunately you cannot have multiple parameters for your each page in report. But you can create a Sub-Report or Drill-Through report to get the 1-Level down or detail report for your user.
