Report Server January 2024 - HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable.

We currently updated the server with new release and only paginated report are impacted while power bi report is working fine. We have also updated the .NET Framework to the latest version as well.

    Issue resolved with Microsoft Support ticket. Issue was with Cetificate Binding and somehow it messed it up with new version. Update the Web Service URL and Web Portal accordingly. I hope someone find it helpful

    Thank you for reporting the problem! 

     

    Could you please share more details about it, so that we can investigate it further? 

    1) What were the exact repro steps? 

    2) Which PBIRS version did you update from?
    3) What is your OS version?  
    4) Is the problem consistent, or temporary? 

    5) Can you share any logs of the error? (kindly remove any sensitive info from there)

      Hello Alexandra, 

      1) The issue is with all the paginated reports, after the update all the power BI reports are working but all the paginated reports are giving HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable. as shown below:

       

      2) We updated from Version1.18.8668.33514(September 2023)

       

      3) We are on Windows Server 2016 Version 1607 OS Build 14393.6614

       

      4) The problem is consistant as we can't go into any paginated report 

       

      5) Please refer to the screenshot above and error log from file

       

      ERROR: Failed to register url=https://+:443/XXXReportServer/ for endpoint 2
      WARN: Endpoint 2 is enabled but no url is registered for vdir=/XXXReportServer
      ERROR: Error creating HTTP endpointI'm
