Problem with binary download via API in Jan 2020 PBIRS?

Previously working API calls seem not to be working against a Jan 2020 (1.6.7327.3007) server - this is fine:

 

 

Invoke-RESTMethod -Uri "http://server/Reports/api/v2.0/CatalogItems(Path='/lib/report')" -Method GET -UseDefaultCredentials

 

 

but the call to get the binary content fails:

 

 

 Invoke-RESTMethod -Uri "http://server/Reports/api/v2.0/CatalogItems(Path='/lib/report')/Content/`$value" -Method GET -ContentType "application/octet-stream" -UseDefaultCredentials

 

 

error is:

Same calls seem to work fine against September 2019 version server. Any ideas ?

API
