Problem Running Direct Query Report

I have a Report with a Data Connection which is a direct query to SQL Server.  I get the error "Could Not Load Module"

Couldn't load the model schema associated with this report. Make sure you have a connection to the server, and try again.

Please check the technical details for more information. If you contact support, please provide these details.

I am logged and and I'm using Kerberos.  When I create the same report an an Import it works fine.

I see the reference to the Anonymous login but I don't understant what thats about.  I'm not running as Anonymous.

Any ideas what's going on?

 Some additonal info...

This is occuring on a Direct Query to a table that has masking.  Direct Queries to tables without masking work.

No, I'm mistaken...I was told it worked for non-masked tables, but it's not working for those either.  We have Kerberos on for Direct Queries and the account logged in the PBI has access to the report.

Additional info...

We are using Direct Query through the Gateway with Kerberos in order to use Dynamic Data Masking in SQL Server

We have 2 SQL Server boxes...one a 2012 and the other 2017.

With the 2012 SQL we can run direct query reports successfully

With the 2017 SQL we get the 'Login Failed for NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON'

I have check the SPNs on both SQL boxes and they are the same for the most part.  Both SQL Server services are using the same AD account to run.

Since the Power BI is cloud based, I don't have access to any configuration there.  If any was done it was our systems admins.

All of the configuration examples I see are older SSRS type (guyinacube for example) and he's configuring SDNs on the web server.

Q:

What might be the issue?  Is is the SDNs on the web server (maybe only one is setup)?

Any ideas where to look?

Thanks
