PowerBI setup for different region

Hi folks,

Our company is a global organization and we Microsoft Fabric seetings is all set to default region which is US. We want to implement PowerBI witihin Australia and want to ensure the data resides in Australia. While setting up gateway we cannot select a different region for fabric other than default location US.

I want to setup both on premises and cloud connection for Australian servers and want the data to reside only in Australia. How do we achieve that?

Thanks

Global companies can implement data residency requirements like this by purchasing premium capacities in the different geographies. See Multi-Geo support for Fabric - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn

Hi, thanks for your resposne. This article is really helpful. I want to understand,  if I set up a on premises gateway and it choses the defualt region (say US). Once I create a premium capacity with Australia as a region, the data will reside within Aus even though the reports are connected to a on prem gaeway setup (defual region US)
