Does the "DirectQuery" connectivity mode (to a sql server database) work for powerbi reports? It works when on PowerBI Desktop (report server) but as soon as it is published it fails with:
Something went wrong
Unable to load the model
Please try again later or contact support. If you contact support, please provide these details.

What is your data source? It was orginally released just with live connectivity to SSAS.
A SQL Server 2016 database

Power BI Report Server August Preview doesn't support DirectQuery data connections, apart from Analysis Services live connections.
