Content Column in Catalog Table:

• The table within the ReportServer database contains a row for every object managed by the SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) site. These objects include reports, linked reports, shared data sources, report models, folders, and images.dbo.Catalog
• The column in this table is a binary value and holds the actual XML definition of the object where appropriate. For instance, it stores the report definition in XML format.content
• If you want to view the actual XML content rather than the binary value, you can use the following query:

 

SELECT [Path], 
       CASE [Type]
           WHEN 2 THEN 'Report'
           WHEN 5 THEN 'Data Source'
       END AS TypeName,
       CAST(CAST(content AS varbinary(max)) AS xml) AS ReportDefinition,
       [Description]
FROM ReportServer.dbo.Catalog;

CatalogItemExtendedContent Table:

• The table contains additional content related to catalog items. It includes multiple rows for PBIX reports, each with a different .dbo.CatalogItemExtendedContentContentType
• When dealing with PBIX reports, the column in the table is NULL. However, you can find relevant information in the table.contentdbo.Catalogdbo.CatalogItemExtendedContent

FROM dbo.Catalog CT
