Power BI file Download option disable
I am pretty sure this scenario is covered by the long list of "Considerations and Limitations". You should focus on storing your PBIX on SharePoint (where you get free versioning) or transitioning to PBIP and Github integration.

First of all, many thanks to lbendlin for your very quick and effective replies, the official documentation already states that downloading .pbix files is not supported in this case.
