Power BI Report Server HTTP -> HTTPS URL Redirect Problem

Recently, we upgraded to Power BI Report Server from using SSRS on SQL server 2008. We also added secure https access.

Our current desire is to redirect any links that start with http to https. I have done a lot of research online and according to this https://stackoverflow.com/questions/17017306/does-ssrs-report-server-run-on-top-of-iis IIS is no longer required for Reporting Services. However, the Report Server Configuration Manager has no redirect option. I installed IIS and attempted to create a redirect from there. The redirect does work to a point. I can view the folder heirarchy of my reports, but they do not render when I attempt to run them. If I attempt to view subscriptions, I recieve an error popup saying "Something went wrong. Please try again later."

The portal log returns the following:

2019-03-12 06:39:42.2214|ERROR|102|OData exception occurred: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> Microsoft.SqlServer.ReportingServices2010.RSConnection2010+MissingEndpointException: The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version. ---> System.InvalidOperationException: Client found response content type of '', but expected 'text/xml'.
The request failed with an empty response.

Somehow using IIS is keeping my report from being rendered.

Could I get some help with how to properly redirect my url from an http link to an https link without it breaking?

You might be helped by this: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/security/configure-ssl-connections-on-a-nati...

Apperantly there are some interoperability issues with IIS and Power BI Report Server when it comes to SSL so if you are using IIS on the same machine you might consider moving to another server.
