Power BI Paginated Report with two layers of column header- Freeze both column headers

Hi,

I have created Power BI paginated report with Matrix. The matrix has two layers of column headers as shown in picture below. I was able to freeze only first column header when scrolling. Second column headers disappears when scrolling. I tried all the options with taxblix property, Fixed data. Nothing seems to be working. Can you please help me?

It sounds like you're encountering an issue with freezing the second layer of column headers in your Power BI paginated report with a Matrix visual. Here's how you can approach resolving this:

  1. Ensure Correct Configuration: Double-check that you're applying the freezing settings correctly. You typically need to select the top-right cell of the matrix, which contains the second layer of column headers, to enable freezing for those headers. Sometimes, users mistakenly select the wrong cell, which can result in freezing not working as expected.
  2. Use Advanced Properties: Power BI offers advanced properties for controlling the behavior of matrix visuals, including freezing headers. Ensure that you're exploring all available options in the properties pane related to freezing headers. Look for properties specifically related to freezing the second layer of column headers.
  3. Update Power BI Desktop: Ensure that you're using the latest version of Power BI Desktop. Microsoft regularly releases updates with bug fixes and new features, so updating to the latest version might resolve the freezing issue if it's a known bug that has been addressed in a newer version.
  4. Report Layout: Consider adjusting the layout of your report. Sometimes, complex layouts or interactions between visuals can affect freezing behavior. Simplifying the report layout or rearranging elements might help resolve the issue.
  5. Check for Known Issues: Search online forums and communities to see if other users have encountered similar issues and if there are any known workarounds or solutions. The Power BI community is active and often provides valuable insights and assistance.
  6. Submit Feedback: If you're unable to resolve the issue, consider submitting feedback to Microsoft through the Power BI Ideas forum or directly through Power BI Desktop. Microsoft values user feedback and uses it to prioritize feature improvements and bug fixes.
  7. Contact Support: If the issue persists and is impacting your ability to create or use your report effectively, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They may be able to provide more targeted guidance or escalate the issue for investigation.
