Passing parameters to a Power BI report to Power B...

hi all,

I'm using October 2017 version of report server desktop and installed same version of powrbi report server and configured.All was fine.I have passed pamaters in report server url by adding ?filter= tablename/columnname eq 'value'

it went good as expected.

later i installed march 2018 version, so when i chcked now it was not working as expected. is that the issue with march verion .does the functionality not work for march 2018 version????

so, again i tried to install oct version downloaded file & tried but of no use!!

i'm using the below url. its not working for me. pls help..thanx inadvance..

http://server/Reports/powerbi/Budget?filter=Details/Project eq ‘school’

I tested the query string in my environment (Power BI Report Server March 2018), I could reproduce the same problem as yours. The parameter didn't filter data as expected.

@riccardomuti Is this a known issue? Or query parameter isn't supported by March version? Appreciate for your help.

Version released on March 19th 2018 has this issue. That version doesnot support this functionality. but version released on March 28, 2018 got this issue resolved itseems. I got this information from below link:

Please confirm on this... does installing of March 28,2018 released version and April 27, 2018 versions has the parameters functionality.

Let me know if any idea.. Its urgent for me..
