Paginated Reports Power Query Builder

Within paginated reports, I have a query where I am pulling data from sharepoint online and Azure SQL database. Within the power query editor, I can combine the data and get the data output just fine. When I try and render that report in power bi service it says I need to specify a privacy level for all connections. I have a privacy level defined for SQL but I can't find where that is supposed to be set to give one to the Sharepoint connection

Thanks for the suggestions, there appears to be a bug and/or missing feature in the power query editor in the paginated (RDL) report writer program as I do not have any abilites to edit the datasource settings from within the editor as you've shown in the screenshots. The solution was to go to the Manage Connections and Gateways page in power bi service and edit the connection from there to set the privacy level

This is not a bug or missing feature. Report Builder is using the connections defined on the service therefore you need to edit the privacy settings in the service. It does not have local connections like Power BI Desktop

Hi, @srduval

You can add a level of privacy to your SharePoint data sources in Power Query:

For a detailed tutorial explaining the privacy levels, you can refer to the following official documentation:

In Power BI service, you can specify the privacy level when you add a SharePoint connection:

You'll need to set up a cloud connection for your Azure SQL database, sharepoint, and set the privacy level when you connect, and then configure those connections for your semantic model.
