PBIRS browser timeout limit

Hello,

Is there a default timeout limit for the PBIRS browser session and if there is a way to change that please?

Thank you!

Check this link, Different timeouts exists. (rsReportServer.config)

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/report-server/rsreportserver-config-configur...

Typically, we do increase - DatabaseQueryTimeout, say like 300

Also, you change the web.config, httpRuntime executionTimeout="9000" ...

Please backup any config file (in the same folder), before doing the changes.

@sevenhills Thanks for the info.

Is the below setting the proper one to end the browser session for the end users if they leave the browser for sometime?

<httpRuntime executionTimeout="9000" requestValidationMode="2.0" />

Typically, Browser session and database query both go hand in hand. That is why I mentioned earlier to increase both.

Yes, that is the value you may have to change to increase the browser session. (Remember, if you change the browser session, and the database query takes more time, then it is of no use.)

You can check more info here:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/system.web.configuration.httpruntimesection.executiontim...

Hope this helps!
