Running in to two issues connecting to a PBI dataset in the PBI report builder. I have a dimension table (Contract) that has multiple locations for each contract in the hierarchy. There is a relationship to other tables in the model based on those locations. I pull the Contract field into the query window along with fields from the fact tables. When I execute the query, it pulls all locations. Even ones that aren't under that contract. It's like the relationship between the tables isn't formed. When I do this in PBI desktop, it works fine. What am I doing wrong. The reason why I am using the contract field is because I am going to use this as a parameter for mutiple datasets in this report.
The second issue I am running into is filtering. I want to filter the dataset to a measure which is a Max_Ship= max(ship_date). The only way to filter to a measure (I think) is to pull the field I want to filter in the filter well, then using the custom operator so I set it as (ship_date) = [Max_Ship]. This filter is not working either. It's not filtering at all. Wondering what I am doing wrong.
