New/Reupload makes data sources to unsupported data source

Hello,

we have a strange issues since we upgarded our Report Server to January 2024 version. Whenever we create a new report in Power BI Desktop or even just download an existing report and upload again to Report Server, the initially working data sources are suddenly unsupported data sources. We can't change the credentials, update the data or create a schedule.

Example of a working report:

2024-02-06 15_13_56-Data sources - test.png

Connection works, can be tested, schedule works.

I just downloaded the pbix, renamed it an uploaded it to Report Server and the same report shows this:

2024-02-06 15_15_21-Properties - test - Copy.png

No more data source in the report.

I tried to create new reports, works in PowerBi Desktop, upload to Report Server and data sources are gone. I tried with

  • direct query AND
  • import,
  • server name OR
  • alias name OR
  • IP address
  • November 2023 version AND
  • Januar 2024 version

Any hints are welcome.

Please check the document about schedule refresh in Power BI Report Server :

Power BI report scheduled refresh in Power BI Report Server - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

If it still does not help, please provide more details about the issue. Especially regarding the link about learn more , there should be mention of a more relevant explanation.
