Hi all, I’m using the New Card in Power BI Desktop (Sep 2025) with images and formatting.
In Desktop works fine.
After opening with Power BI RS and publishing to Power BI Report Server (same version) the card is visible, but images disappear and it doesn’t appear in the Visualizations pane.
In Edit mode, I can still change some properties in Power BI RS. Seems like Report Server partially supports Modern Visuals.
Anyone found a workaround to keep images and full functionality?
Thanks!
Hi @kedida ,
As of November 24, 2025, there's no confirmed fix for the New Card visual issue on Power BI Report Server (PBIRS), where visuals partially render, images disappear or shift, or layouts expand after publishing. The new Card visual reached general availability in the November 2025 Desktop release, but PBIRS is still on the September 2025 build and doesn’t fully support these updates, so the issues persist. Community reports confirm this is still affecting many users. In the meantime, you can try workarounds -
Use the latest compatible Desktop and PBIRS versions, re-format the report post-publish (adjust padding, image fit, background transparency), restore missing visuals, or fallback to the legacy Card visual or a custom layout using old Cards plus text boxes. Also, report the issue on the Microsoft Fabric Community or submit a support ticket if you have Pro/Premium. These steps help manage the issue until the next PBIRS release.
Hi @kedida ,
