Move the server hosting PBIRS to another domain

Greetings.

I am in a scenario where servers are being migrated from domainA of Company A to domainB of Company B due to a merger.

I wanted to know about any problems that I might face when rejoining the VM hosting the Report Server to domainB in terms of licenses or configuration. Will I have to create the environment from scratch or will I have to make only tweaks to the configuration? Any guidelines for such activity would be appreciated. The current Report Server is using license from SQL Server Enterprise with SA.

Thanks and regards

Hi @WaleedZain17 ,

Pls refer the below article and check if it is helpful:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/migrate-report-server

Best Regards

Lucien

I've gone through the article previously and it refers to migration to a new installation in another server. For me, the company is not commissioning a new server, rather they will join the old server (in domainA) to the new domain (domainB).
