Migration of the Reportserver_BI and ReportServer_BITempDB databases.

Hello All,

I would like to move the two Power BI reportserver and ReportServer_BITempDB databases from the current SQL host to another. Is there a step by step procedure that i can follow? Or is it just reconfigure the report configuration manager to the new SQL host?

I've changed the connection to an alias before and it was as d_gosbell described, I think the worst case scenario is you'll need the encryption keys:

I don't think this is a very common thing to do. I'm pretty sure if you back up and restore the databases to the new host then just change the database setting in the configuration manager it should work fine. The configuration manager will basically write the connection string to the config files of the various services that PBIRS runs and then restart them.
