Migrating from SSRS to PowerBIRS

Hello,

i found the Microsoft article on migrating from SSRS to PowerBIRS, however the first steps is unclear to me, and hopefully someone that has done this before understands what microsoft is saying:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/migrate-report-server

step1: Backup database, application, and configuration files

I bolded the "Application" and "Configuration files" on purpose because i am not sure i understand by what they mean to backup the files? what files to backup specifically, and where to place them on the new server etc.?

thanks in advance

This text is just standard best practice when upgrading. This is just so that if something goes wrong you can restore the server back to a working state. If you are doing an in-place migration I would even go further than this and suggest taking a full back-up or snapshot of the server prior to the upgrade.

But it sounds like you might be migrating to a new server. If that is the case then it's just the database copy and encryption key backup that you need.
