Keep historical data in Report Server

Hello, 

 

I currently face an issue : 

I have different Excel's files as source. 
For each of them, I have almost 7 million lines (client level, a line per month). 

I need to historise them in PBI Desktop because I'm on importation. 
Do you have an idea how to do that ?

I hope there's no other message about this subject, I tried to find an answer but I didn't find one.

    Hi Anonymous ,

    1) All your Excel files have the same structure but different data depending on period?

    2) Tell more about how do you want to store data inside Power BI and why. Consider that in Import Mode in Desktop and Report Server you need to have enough RAM to store all this data.

      Hi zoloturu , 

       

      1) All my Excel files have the same structure but different data depending on period. 

       

      For example, these are my column's structure : 

      Client_ID    ||     Date   ||        Indicateur       ||       Value

       

      Date = MM/YYYY 

      So each month, I have values and I want to keep this values for the last 12 months in memory.     

       

      2) I don't know how to store data in Power BI, that is why I ask you some help !

      I would like to have all of my lines into PBI (a line per client and per period). 

       

      It's essential for my client to have sales. 
      But I don't know how to parameter, for each month, my historic table.
