How to calculate percentage in Report Builder

Hello,

I am fairly new to Power BI Report Builder and am struggling mightily.

I have a dataset containing US car insurance information. This includes deductibles (as a measure) as well as the state and city of a claimant's address (as fields).

Here's a picture of my project in Design view:

What I am trying to do is create a calculated field, calculating the percent of Deductible Recoverable by State and City.

EDIT 2: The Pct% column contains the Pct calculated field already, which is as follows:

Pct field.png

EDIT: Here is the error message I've received:

Pct includes an aggregate.png

In other words, I want the Pct% field in each State row to show what percentage of the total Deductible Recoverable is from that state, and I want the Pct% field in each City row to show what percentage of that state's Deductible Recoverable is from that city.

I've found this post that has pretty much the same problem as me. The accepted solution looks like it would work in PowerBI Desktop, but does not look like it works in Report Builder with paginated reports.

PLEASE let me know if you need more information. And PLEASE read the entire post before posting an answer. I have received some very unhelpful answers to questions I've asked here in the past, and I would like this one solved ASAP.

Hi @Anonymous ,

The Calculated values is likely what you need.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

Come on @v-henryk-mstf. I'm sure there is a very simple solution here. Now would you mind helping me find it please?

@v-henryk-mstfThank you for your reply, but like I said, the Pct% Value is already in the report as a calculated field. Please see my edit for the formula I tried to use.

My fault for not initially providing enough detail. See the updated post for the formula I tried to use.

Henry,

Thanks for the reply. However, the Pct% value is already in the report as a Calculated field.
