Google Analytics Schedule Refresh for Power BI on-premise deployment to Report Server

Hi,

Our environment is Power BI on premise, we are using Power BI desktop August 2018 Coupled with the similarily dated Report Server Component.  There is no on-line component and as such no gateways of any kind we are on-premise only.

I have two questions:

1.  Is it possible to schedule refresh a Power BI report that you have deployed to the on-premise Report Server.  At a cursory glance it appears to tell ou that you cannot, however I wonder if there are any ways around this.

2.  If the data cannot be refreshed on a schedule Does pressing the "Refresh" button in the Report server browser portal actually refresh the data from Google analytics.. It kinda is hard to tell.

    Hi there

    What happens when you do click on refresh, do you see any updated data?

    And what happens if you open the PBIX and then click on refresh?

      Is it possible to do this as I couldnt refresh it on-prem either.

        I am going to assume that currently On-Premise REporting server does not support the refreshing from Google Analytics based on your details above.

    I needed to refresh the Power BI desktop version of my Google Analytics report too and was unsure whether it had worked.

     

    I just put a date slicer in and set it to todays date to check there was data.

      Hi there

      I certainly can refresh my data in Power BI Desktop when using the Google Analytics connector.
