Filtering entire report (all pages) from SSAS based on dynamic date

Hi community

I need some help! At work we are using cubes from SQL Server Analysis Services as out data foundation/model.
The issue here is, that some of the data fields do not get filled out until a couple of months later than the actual date.

There for what I want is a way to exclude ALL the data that has been registered for the past 2-3 months. So for example today 16th of may 2023, I want all date before or equal to the date of 28th of february 2023. When ever we get to June 1st, I want the date to become march 30th and so on.

Is there any way to do this either in filterering the data in the Cube or in the report view?

This is a snapshot of the data model. It is in danish but I have circled the actual data (red) and the date table (blue).

Thanks in advance

I would think it would be easier to just not load the incomplete periods into the cube at all. If you had a filter in your ETL process or in a view layer that was feeding the cube (if you are loading from a relational database) that would be the easiest way of achieving this.

Hi @d_gosbell
I think you might be right. I was just wondering whether the possibility was actually there in PBI as well.
But I also think the cleanest way to do it would be through the ETL/loading process. Thanks 🙂
