I am using Power BI report Server and it is absolutely crucial for my client to export data with current layout to excel.
Some tables use hirarchy and thus usual export doesnt produce the result I am looking for.
Is there a way to export data from power bi report server with current layout.
If not what workaround can I use?
Can I do it from Power BI Desktop (Not service, just desktop)?
Allot of clients are asking about "Export in nicely formated Excel file" feature.
Is there any link where we can see ROAD MAP and what is planned for next updates during the 1 year ?
The only way to control the formatting of the layout when exporting to Excel from Power BI Report Server at the moment (as of Jan 2023) is to build your report as a paginated report. Unlike the cloud service the on-prem report server does not support this functionality for pbix based reports.
