Error - New data source via the Power BI interface
Hello everyone,
after updating to the PIRS Jan 2024 version, we are encountering an error when creating a new data source via the PBIRS interface. We have updated an empty system from PBIRS version1.14.8179.37378 (May 2022) and a filled system from PBIRS (2023) to PBIRS version1.19.8779.19175 (January 2024). We can no longer create data sources for either system.
Message:
An error has occurred.
Unfortunately, an error has occurred. Please repeat the process.
Can anyone reproduce the error?
We would install a new version of PBIRS January 2024 as a test, not as an update, to see if we only have the error due to an update.
I would appreciate any ideas or at least if anyone has the same problem.
Best regards,
Jeffrey

Hi G3n0v ,
I test it in my environment, it works well.
PBIRS Version: 1.19.8779.19175 (build 15.0.1114.33), Released: January 26, 2024
Please try to uninstall the current PBIRS, then reinstall the January 2024 version PBIRS.

the topic will be closed. The January 2024 RS version seems to have some bugs. Among them the creation of data sources. We were able to find other bugs that led us to install the Sept 2023 version.
