We couldn't connect to the Analysis Services server. Make sure you've entered the connection string correctly.:

Service version: /powerbi/libs
Already tried the following:
- The report works from the desktop
- Converting the report to import mode and using the same Oracle data source works. Also scheduling the refresh with this import mode on the server works
- when checking the data sources to do a test connection get this error An attempt has been made to use a data extension 'Oracle' that is either not registered for this report server or is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services.
- Checked the Oracle client version and the steps to register the .NET as covered in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/report-data/oracle-connection-type-ssrs?view...
Also on a side note, noticed that the option 'Oracle' is not showing up as a connection type when trying to add a new data source directly from the Power BI report server portal. Not sure if that is related.
Are there any other setting that we may have missed?
Environment:
- Power BI report server May 2020
- Data source Oracle 12.c
Hi, we have the same setup in the company I'm working for. That's usually the error we get when the Oracle data driver is not installed on the desktop or you might have to reinstall the driver if you have it installed already.
