Difference between Report Server and Power BI Service?

Hey guys - what is the different ebtweent he Power BI Report Server and Power BI Service? I always hear alot about Power BI Report Server, but don't really understand fully what it is, or what it's meant for. All of the reports I've created, I've usually just published to a WorkSpace and then share the report with whichever emails given to me?

When would I need to use Power BI Report Server? In lament terms, what is it and when would I use it?

Power BI Report Server is an on-premises report server with a web portal in which you display and manage reports and KPIs.
Power BI is a collection of software services, apps, and connectors that work together to turn your unrelated sources of data into coherent, visually immersive, and interactive insights.

Power BI Report Server and the Power BI service have many similarities and some key differences.

@Anonymous Power BI Report Server provides a sub-set of the functionality in the Power BI Service and allows you to keep your reports and data on-premises. If you don't care about that, don't worry about Power BI Report Server.
