Difference in Data output between service and dekstop
Hello
im having a report that is connected to share point list via share point list onlince connecter 2.0
im having an issue where data in the power bi dekstop doesnt match the one on service !
note that im using same cred for both dekstop and service
anyone faced this issue ?

Thank you for sharing this. We have tried optimizing and ensuring all Power Query Transformation steps are not the issue.
Id like to provide an update that the issue was resolved with conencting to an On-Prem gateway. this is odd, because all Sharepoint data is cloud based and should not require a gateway, and other repors are working fine without one.

I don’t think this is a credential issue. When Desktop shows full data but Service drops rows after refresh, it usually points to how the SharePoint connector executes in the Service, especially pagination, thresholds or transformations breaking query folding. I also think you should also check for hidden filters or rows erroring out during refresh, as Service can silently exclude those.

While connecting to SharePoint Online connector post giving the link, can you check which one you have chosen from implementation options either 1.0 or 2.0
