In PBI report server, it does not seem to be possible to use shared datasoruces. I did read about an API allowing shared datasets as OData source in power bi. I also read about the command " /DataSets({Id})/Model.GetData", but I cannot get this to work.
I did try "http://bi04rs.global.dns/Reports/api/v2.0/" as odata, and then I seem to be able to browse through all SSRS metadata.
The ID of my dataset is "5b1cfaa5-0c0c-4e7e-9aa8-1ce2e7d33b43"...how should I define my OData data source?
You can use Datasources and Data Sets, but not with Power BI reports. Mobile Reports and Paginated Reports(I think) can be used.
Power BI Reports have connections contained completely to themselves, and cannot use Datasources or Data Sets.
I did read a post on using OData feed connector to link to a shared datasource...but cannot get it to work...
If you could share that article I can try to test it as well.
