Custom datasource credentials

Good day,

I am currently struggling with implementing the Testconnection handler for my custom connector. The data source I am trying to connect to doesn't require credential. When I publish the report and try and refresh the data the refresh fails due to the test connection.

Is there a way of bypassing the test connection or a way of implementing it in a way that allows me to pass in my our parameters when configuring the data source settings in Power BI service?
