Connection s issue with Power bi server

Hello, i have a simple query to one of my excel file in sharepoint online.

let

    Source = Excel.Workbook(File.Contents("\\Sharepoint@ssl\web\test.xlsx"),null,true)

in

    Source

I am able to manually refresh and update my data. However when i upload to my report server, the connection string shows

Connection Type: File

Connection String: \\Sharepoint\web\test.xlsx

The @ssl is missing from the connection string. Thus, i am unable to schduled refresh my data in the report server. Is there any way to resolve this?

WebDav access to on-premise Sharepoint is not supported on PBI RS. Use "Web" connector with HTTP/HTTPS URL to sharepoint stored file

Hi @benneo ,

The connection string used in Power BI Desktop might need to be adjusted for Power BI Report Server. Normally, to connect to SharePoint Online using SSL, you may need to use the SharePoint Online List connector instead of directly pointing to the file path.

The proper format for SharePoint Online connection strings often starts with rather than a file path.

What made you use the file connector? The SharePoint Folder connector is so much more flexible.
