My Date Changes After Import into Power BI

After I import data into Power BI, it changes the date for a particluar table by adding +1 to the original date in the Database

This is the date in the database

Please how can I resolve this?

Hi @Anonymous ,

This could be because your server time zone is impacting the time that you see in your desktop file. Say you are in US and your server is in ASIA timezone, you may get a similar issue

 

Pls. check the LOCALE setting in both PBI service and PBI Desktop and set it to the right locale. It may be fixing this

As Thejeswar  said, it is possible that the difference in time zones may have caused this unexpected result.

 

In addition to the method described by Thejeswar , you could also try keeping the date field as text before converting it to a date and extracting the text later.


It is also possible to remove 6 hours from each datetime by creating offsets so that it will show the same date as in the database.
