5 arguments were passed to a function which expects between 2 and 4

Hi,

I have a report which doesn't refresh in Powerbi web having a gateway connection to a PostGreSQL database which works fine with other reports. Please note that this report does refresh in the desktop version without any problem.

I am getting the following technical details, which doesn't really help me to find at least the name of the table that may cause the error (I guess that the problem is linked to tables, having also read the message https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Report-Server/5-arguments-were-passed-to-a-function-which-expects-b...).

Unable to connect to the data source undefined.

  • Underlying error code-2147467259
  • Underlying error message5 arguments were passed to a function which expects between 2 and 4.
  • DM_ErrorDetailNameCode_UnderlyingHResult-2147467259
  • Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.Arguments{Table.FromRecords({}), "Index", 1, 1, number}
  • Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ValueError.ReasonExpression.Error

Can you please help?

Thanks,
Salva

Solved after reading this https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Add-Index-Function-causes-refresh-to-fail/td-p/1301932.

The root cause was the adoption of an index. I have just erased the column type and now the refreshes.
