October 28 & 29: Experts share their secrets on how to pass the Fabric Analytics Engineer certification exam—live. Learn more
Background:
I've used Data Activator with some success - I am receiving a daily alert via email if a test has failed in our system (this is important background knowledge - emails are being successfully received to my email account).
Current Issue:
I decided to test the frequency of the alerts system by making a NEW trigger, by testing when the value of my new measure changes, which is the date time converted to a number. This has been set up using "Set Alert" from a table visual in a PowerBI report. The idea is to see if Data Activator will successfully send alerts at the current 1 hour refresh rate.
Within Reflex, my new trigger seems to be monitoring correctly as seen below:
The action that has been congifured is to send an email to my email address, this was created by typing my name in the 'To' field and selecting the auto populated email address. It is the exact same email address as in my other trigger which is working successfully.
As you can see in the below screenshot the monitoring is expressed in the below "expected action" table: 69 rows and therefore 69 emails:
However I have received NO email alerts. When I click the History tab, it fails to load:
What can I do to receive these emails that the system is monitoring correctly, but not actioning correctly?
Many thanks,
McBreese1
Hello thanks for your reply,
It is not a custom action function, when I selected Reflex last week my UI had changed.
Strangely my issue was resolved when I clicked 'Edit Action' and then removed my email address with the 'x' and added it in again:
Any idea why my UI looks different?
Thanks,
McBreese1
Hi @McBreese1 ,
Are you using a custom action function related to Power Automate? I see that the screenshots you provided are different from the normal Reflex. Can you try the Test action first to see if you can receive the email normally?
We need to make sure all your settings are correct first and then try to troubleshoot other related issues.
