how to patch gateway

According to all recommendations, we should always patch our on-premise data gateway to the current version.  What we cannot find is a description of how to obtain and apply the patches.  Our first a...

    After restarting the server, the 'Update' button appeared with the installation.  I was then able to complete the update.

Hi ps0831,

 

Each new on-premise data gateway is released as a standard installer package. We need to download new data gateway installer file then install it. If there is already a data gateway version installed before in this machine, there should be a Update button to update data gateway.

 

In your scenario, please go to Control Panel -> Programs, check if there is a on-premise data gateway already installed. You can try to uninstall it then download installer from here to install again.

 

If issue still persists, please share log files below:

 

Installer logs

%localappdata%\Temp\On-premises_data_gateway_*.log

Configuration logs

%localappdata%\Microsoft\on-premises data gateway\GatewayConfigurator*.log
