failed to update data source credentials

Hi!

I´m new here and I have a problem with Schedule Refresh of an excel in PowerBI.

We have a gateway personal that is online:

Captura1.PNG

Our excel has two data connections, one of them is working ok but another we have an error with data source credentials:

Captura2.PNG

Another error that we discover with Event Viewer is:

captura3.PNG

But gateway is running, this user is sysadmin in data source, like in another connection....and we don´t know what happening here.

Could anybody help me????

Thank youuuu

I know I'm late to the party, but I wanted to share that I had a similar issue and deleting the dataset/report in Power BI online and re-publishing was the fix for me.

I'm also facing the same issue since December 26, 2016. Earlier my schedule refresh on Project online Data source was working fine but now it is throwing error saying that " Failed to update credentials". Though I'm updating with my valid credentials, still it is throwing an error.

Can any  one know any work around or fix for this?

Looks like a Microsoft SQL Server, correct? First, are you certain that the SQL server is enabled for Windows authentication? Are both of these connections going to the same server or to different servers?

DAX is easy, CALCULATE makes DAX hard...

Thanks smoupre for answer me.

Yes, Data conection is an Microsoft SQL Server.

Yes, Our SQL Server is enabled for Windows authetificacion because we use Active Directory.

And Yes, both of our connectios is going to the same server.

With the first connection, I edit credentialas correctly

And our problem is with another connection...that is "Thinking" but suddently told us :

"Failed to update data source credentials"

I tried to open my excel and "update connections" and it is working ok.

But, we think the same process is in PowerBI, but isn´t:

We don´´t know what would be the problem for this connection and we need that this works to schedule refresh.

Please help me
