To share content with other employees, Power BI Pro is necessary for the one who wants to share and the one who wants te see it.
The problem is that not all employees should be able to create their own content.
In app.powerbi everyone with a Power BI Pro license is able to 'Get Data' on the bottem left of the screen.
Is it possible to exclude employees from getting data?
@janiek95 What is the reasoning of why individuals shouldn't be able to create their own reports?
How large is your organization? Is Premium an option? That license model would allow for free users to read/consume and not have the ability to share.
@Seth_C_Bauer We are implementing Power BI to simplefy the processes, when employees have the opportunity to create their own dashboards(and they will try), they can waste their valuable time.
The organization has around 600 employees, but most of them works in the warehouses. We are testing Power BI on a small part of the organization, with only 3 key users at the moment.
I guess that the use of Power BI Premium wont give us enough efficiency at the moment.
@janiek95 There really isn't a way for you to disable the use of Power BI for end users. I'm not trying to argue, but the reason business users do things on their own is typically due to bottlenecks in IT. So if they need the answers a report will give them... it's not really wasted time.
Streamlining how they do things, providing datasets that can be used, and supporting those efforts would minimize "wasted" time. Then IT can focus on the company level reporting, the models to support business, and training if needed.
I come from the Enterprise side of things, and every company is different, but Power BI shines the best when you enable your business users, not try to lock them out of an awesome tool that can give them valueable insights.
my 2 cents.

@janiek95 This appears to be a duplicate post, responses here - https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Integrations-with-Files-and/exclude-other-employees-from-creating-c...
