Source from a variable range in a worksheet

Dear All,

How to specify the source of a request from a range in a worksheet.

I mean I wish the source to be the range from A3 cell to E&(LastRow) from worksheet1.

I would prefer not to convert my range into a table.

Thank you for your help.

Best Regards

Hi @FCD ,

Try selecting the cells in this section in Excel and then use Ctrl+T to convert this section to a table, then use PowerBI to connect to Excel you will see that the area you just selected in the navigator will be recognized as a table.

Best Regards,
Gao

Hi @FCD

Create an Excel Named Range. That can be made dynamic, with worksheet functions: OFFSET and COUNTA or INDEX and COUNTA. Next use Excel.CurrentWorkbook in Power Query to get the contents from that range.

I hope this is helpful
