Snowflake connection, resuming a snowflake warehouse.

If I have for example a view in Snowflake that I want to import to a Power BI file it works fine only as long as the selected snowflake warehouse is ACTIVATED. If it is INACTIVE I get the erroor message that I have to activate the warehose before I can refresh the data.

I am wondering if there is any way one can activate a snowflake warehouse through Power BI?

It would be the equivalent of running the snowflake sql script "ALTER WAREHOUSE WAREHOUSE_WH RESUME;".

Best regards,

Mikael Helmers

@mikaelhelmers,

I am afraid that it is not possible to activate a snowflake warehouse in Power BI . Power BI has only read access to the imported data of your data source.

I am working with Power BI and Snowflake in 2020. Is this still the case?
