Sharing Salesforce data on dashboard with non-Salesforce users

If I add Salesforce integration to my account and post Salesforce information to my dashboard, will users who share my dashboard be able to view the data if they do not have a Salesforce account?  Can they query the data?

I'm thinking they should be able to do what they need since the link is through my Salesforce account on my dashboard.  But then, with the Pro version now being required, I don't know if there are additional limitations or requirements that suggest I turn to another product.

Hi @Rebennett99,

As mentioned in my previous reply, in Power BI Service, when you share dashboard/reports that contain Salesforce data to non-Salesforce users, users are able to view the reports without Salesforce accounts.

Hi @Rebennett99,

Do you create a dashboard in Power BI Service that contains Salesforce data and share the dashboard to other non-Salesforce users? If that is the case, non-Salesforce users are able to view all the data in the dashboard, and if you have filters in the shared Power BI reports, users able to filter visuals in the reports.

In addition, beginning June 2017, it will requires Power BI pro to share a dashboard. If you want to share reports to non-Salesforce users, you can use “Publish to Web” feature in Power BI Service.

Thanks,

I am relatively new to PowerBI. So, no we don't currently have Salesforce reports/data on a dashboard.  I already understand my users need to go with Pro.  I just wanted to verify that so long as I, as the developer, have access to the Salesforce data and share reports with that data - Salesforce accounts are not necessary to view that data from my dashboard.  Again - I assume that is the case but I want to be sure.
