I have an Excel workbook hosted in SharePoint which uses a parameters and function to pass parameters to the various queries. I'm using the following technique to pass parameters from Excel cells to PowerQuery:
https://www.excelguru.ca/blog/2014/11/26/building-a-parameter-table-for-power-query/
All of that works fine, and I can successfully publish to Power BI. I cannot however schedule a refresh, and I get this error:
"You can't schedule refresh for this dataset because one or more sources currently don't support refresh"
And the Parameters table is grayed out below it. I also tried using the named range technique for the parameters, but that resulted in different error messages and the workbook would fail to publish to Power BI.
Does anyone know of a way to use parameters from an Excel table in Power Query in such a way that the refresh functionality would still be supported?
Thanks.

@rjhale,
Move the dynamic parameter to be the content insteads of the path as described in this blog, then check if you can schedule refresh in Power BI Service.

Lydia
