PowerBI Paginated Report Accessing Azure File Share

Hello Guys,

I've few questions on accessing the  Azure File Share from PowerBI reports. Please clarify

• Can we mount the Azure File Share so that PowerBI reports can access them as a normal path?
• Do we need to add another connection of type Azure File Share  to the PowerBI report? If yes, how can we access the file after the connection details are provided?

You should be able to do it if Azure File share is mounted as data source at PBI Gateway.

Yes, we can mount Azure File shares on Windows and then access it as a normal path in Power BI Desktop.

We do not have any inbuilt Azure File Share connector as of now if this is what you are asking.

I don't see the Data Source type as Azure FIle Share in the available list.

What I meant to say is if you have mounted Azure File Share on Gateway then you should be able to access this data source as Folder path.

Hi,

We can mount the Azure File Share on windows and can be accessed from the PowerBI Desktop.

But in my case our PowerBI reprots are hosted in portal.

Can we access Azure File Share from PowerBI Reports from Portal?
